Who this is for

Licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, and supervised associates who want the short version of a study or a rule without losing the details that matter. Each article starts with key takeaways, then shows the evidence, then says what it means in session or in the business of the practice.

How the Research Desk works

  • Primary sources first. Every study we cite links to its PubMed record, and numbers are reported the way the authors reported them. Rules and regulations link to the official text.
  • Limits stated. Each article ends with a limitations section. Observational findings are called observational.
  • No invented numbers. If we can’t verify a statistic, price, or quote, we leave it out. Vendor details carry the date we checked them.
  • Clinician scope. These pages are written for licensed clinicians. They are education, not medical, legal, or billing advice.
  • Corrections. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
